I might be a curious case in that I've enjoyed Gaitskill's stories more than her novels. Because They Wanted To is the rare short story collection (not that I've read many but whatevs) that has made my to-be-reread pile. Of course I still need to finish her first book of stories, too.
I've not read Robison yet--I'll have to look her up.

The new Gaitskill is excellent! After reading it I went back and read Two Girls Fat and Thin.
What I'm most excited about is the new Mary Robison. It's a work of genius.
